I'd had the idea for writing a 1 hour piece of music for years but never got around to it. After releasing my latest 'song' album 'Oh My Days' on November the 21st I got stuck into it straight away and finished 'The Journey' on the 21st of December. I found it quite liberating to only have to think about melody and harmony and not the usual song structures.
For the not so adventurous I've mixed down the individual 17 sections as separate tracks although I think that if you set aside a whole hour to listen to the full track you will enjoy it. (might be really nice to paint to or make pottery or something creative.
